In 2003, seeking to advance his career in the equine industry, Diego moved from his native country, Colombia, to Ocala, known as the "Horse Capital of the World." He says, “This has been the best decision of my life,” leading to experiencing all the equestrian activities desired and much more than ever anticipated, including numerous outdoor sports and recreational activities to enjoy year-round. That is why he calls the Ocala area his ‘Dream Land.’
In 2016, Diego became a certified real estate agent in Florida. After beginning to promote the Ocala area through the YouTube channels ‘FINDING MY DREAMLAND’ and ‘ENCONTRANDO MI TIERRA DE ENSUEÑO’, it has been a rewarding experience for him to help numerous national and international clients find and negotiate properties in this piece of paradise.
With a background in horses that began during childhood on his family’s farm, along with academic achievements and professional successes in managing horse farms, teaching at universities and college, writing books and articles for international magazines, and founding and directing riding schools, Diego has developed a comprehensive understanding of horses’ needs from A to Z.
