Mila Shapiro brings nearly 15 years of experience in the banking industry, where she built a successful career centered on exceptional customer service, relationship management, and helping people navigate important financial decisions. Throughout her career, she earned multiple awards recognizing her performance, dedication, and commitment to those she served.
Originally from Peru, Mila is the youngest of five siblings and credits her mother as her greatest inspiration—a source of love, strength, and wisdom who helped shape the values Mila carries with her today. Her upbringing instilled in her a deep appreciation for family, resilience, hard work, and compassion, qualities that continue to guide both her personal and professional life.
Mila earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Central Florida, with a minor in Psychology, along with additional coursework in Marketing and Graphic Design. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, she has a natural ability to connect with people from different cultures and backgrounds. Her warm personality, positive outlook, and genuine interest in others help her build relationships founded on trust and understanding.
After calling Citrus County home for more than 20 years, Mila now lives in Ocala and is proud to be part of the local community.
When she’s not working, you’ll likely find Mila spending time with her two beloved Goldendoodles, Canela and Penny, gardening, traveling, or enjoying a good Zumba class. She also loves ping pong and bowling—and her competitive side definitely comes out when there’s a chance to win! More recently, she has fallen in love with pickleball, although her enthusiasm and contagious laughter sometimes make finishing the game almost as challenging as winning it.
